Event: Gala dinner
At the request of WCA Projects Network, we participated in the organization of the Budapest conference with several programs, and within that we were also responsible for the organization and implementation of the entire gala dinner. We turned the basic concept upside down by moving away from the classic gala dinner round table elegance. Our client’s request was that the event concept should be Hungarian, since only foreign guests will be present, but that it should go beyond classic folklore. Encouraged by this, we showed some out-of-the-box event venues that embed a new dimension, a new way of seeing. We finally chose Kiosk as the venue for the event, which, with its bustling downtown atmosphere and slightly industrial interior, provided a great basis for the -literally – spiced-up concept, in which classic Hungarian tradition meets a cosmopolitan Cirque du Soleil experience. This modern Hungarian idea gave us room to bring even more color to the already not colorless Kiosk. This is how the eclectic, slightly exaggerated, colorful design was created, complemented by costumes based on traditional patterns and acrobatic-singing productions, with a modern, interactive folklore evening.
The accompanying programs of the evening were all entertaining and spectacular. We tried to smuggle a little Hungary everywhere. The prizes of the wheel of fortune were, for example, exclusively original Hungarian handicrafts, so the guests could taste the flavors of real artisanal chocolates and pálinkas, and could win small items made of leather or accessories with classic Kalocsa patterns. They loved it. And we loved this event, too! We are grateful for the unlimited trust in us and for allowing us to create a miracle. Videos from the event are available here and here.
