20th ERRA Annual Conference

As a long-time partner of ERRA, I participated in the organization of the 20th conference this time as well.

Event: conference

Number of people: 200

As a long-time partner of ERRA, I participated in the organization of the 20th conference this time as well. Since ERRA always organizes its own events, my help is required from time to time, always for a specific project. In connection with the conference, my task was to select and coordinate the venue, as well as organize the audiovisual services and decoration, and of course, I also participated in the entire implementation, as a member of the ERRA team.

The Crowne Plaza Hotel was chosen as the venue, which provides high-quality conference services and, last but not least, sustainable solutions, which was also a factor to consider. Its location is perfect, since the conference is international, delegates came from many countries around the world, so a central location and an easily accessible venue were the minimum requirements.

It was important to fit at least some of the front rows in a school board layout, as this is the most commonly used conference setup in ERRA. The stage was set up with a slightly different theme this time. As the ceiling height of the room is not high and the colours are warm, we went in a more welcoming direction using the hotel lounge furniture and this time there was no projector or LED wall behind the speakers.

The features of the conference room perfectly suited the needs. It was important that at least a few of the first rows could fit in a classroom arrangement, because this is the most frequently used conference setup for ERRA. A regular-sized stage was needed, which we decorated with a slightly different theme this time. Since the room’s ceiling is not high and its colors exude warmth, we went in a friendlier direction by using the hotel lounge furniture, and this time there was neither a projector nor a LED wall behind the speakers. Although these are very modern and spectacular solutions, we wanted to emphasize a more cozy atmosphere at this jubilee conference. So instead of chairs, comfortable armchairs and lots of live green potted plants were placed on the stage to bring as much life into it as possible.
